Our wine

Umbria is not traditionally a wine producing region; historically tobacco was more dominant. Still Umbria is more about quality than quantity and produces only a third as much wine as the famous neighbour Tuscany. However, in latter years Umbrian wines are gaining fame, in and outside Italy.

Agricrevelli is just starting out as a commercial vineyard. As a small farm in the D.O.C. area Colli Altotiberini the obvious choice was to start with some Sangiovese, the local red verity of grapes, and the first hectar was planted in 2008. This vinyard a located just below the agriturismo. It has been a place for Giulio Scattolin, the wine maker, to trial his own vision while perfecting his technics working for others. In the small cellar, wine has been made with basic tools for household needs.

In 2017 a new vineyard with Grechetto, white grapes, was planted further up the hills towards Santa Cristina. In 2018 Giulio started working full time at the farm and is dedicating all his energy to creating a quality wine with his own name on. The aim is to for the harvest of 2020 to be able to bring one red, one rosé and one white wine to the market.
